Sr. Cisco Network Engineer
Heavy Cisco experience,( not a systems engineer)
MUST be a network guru who has experience with Cisco xxxx series, and MPLS and Frame Relay.
* 5 years experience with data networks.
* Must have experience with Cisco routing and switching on the following platforms, xxxx, xxxx,xxxx, xxxx, xxxx.
* Must have design experience with BGP,EIGRP and MPLS.
Provides technical support for network related problems. Sets up, maintains, tests, and troubleshoots data and voice networking equipment. Tests systems in a laboratory setting to ensure proper operation. Recommends solutions to networking problems to improve performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Monitors voice and data network systems and provides technical support for network related problems.
* Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
* Recommends solutions to voice and data networking problems to improve performance.
* Maintains knowledge of existing voice and data hardware and software in use to maximize efficiency of the network and users' utilization of them.
* Reports problems with systems to appropriate administrator in a timely and efficient manner in an effort to keep down time to a minimum.
* On-call shift responsibility for network components, responding to incidents, and communicating complex network concepts to rest of organization in an understandable way.
* Identify opportunities for configuration improvement, propose, document and implement.
* Cabling of new servers in Data Center and Moves, adds and changes.
* Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including WorldWide Business Standards.
* Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
Experience:
* 5 years experience with data networks.
* Must have experience with Cisco routing and switching on the following platforms, xxxx, xxxx,xxxx, xxxx, xxxx.
* Must have design experience with BGP,EIGRP and MPLS.
Base Salary to 130K
